R. Malcolm Errington’s volume on treaties of the Graeco-Roman world from 
200 BC to the beginning of the imperial period is a source book which 
brings together on 663 pages the complete historical sources on all the 
treaties between states that are preserved from the 2nd and 1st cent. 
BC. The volume follows on from its two predecessors in terms of form, 
but in addition to commentaries it offers a German translation of all 
literary and epigraphic texts. The historical content of all 216 
treaties is made accessible via detailed indexes.

With the appearance of this volume, the series, directed by the 
Commission for Ancient History and Epigraphy of the German 
Archaeological Institute, has now made available the totality of 
treaties of the Graeco-Roman world from the Archaic period to the 
beginning of the imperial period.
