Dabei handelt es sich um ein von der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) gef\u00f6rdertes und an der Bibliothek der Goethe-Universit\u00e4t Frankfurt\/Main angesiedeltes Projekt. Seit Februar 2026 pr\u00e4sentiert sich das Portal mit einer neuen\u00a0 Benutzeroberfl\u00e4che.<\/p>\n<p>Hervorzuheben ist ein zentrales <a href=\"https:\/\/africanstudieslibrary.org\/en\/discovery\/catalogue\/\">Rechercheportal Discovery<\/a> f\u00fcr eine integrierte Katalogsuche in nationalen und internationaler Bibliotheksbest\u00e4nden.<\/p>\n<p>Dar\u00fcber hinaus gibt es einen <a href=\"https:\/\/africanstudieslibrary.org\/en\/toolbox\/\">Blog,<\/a> einen <a href=\"https:\/\/africanstudieslibrary.org\/en\/newsletter\/\">Newsletter<\/a> und die M\u00f6glichkeit f\u00fcr <a href=\"https:\/\/africanstudieslibrary.org\/en\/discovery\/researchers\/\">Forschende<\/a>, sich mit der internationalen Community zu vernetzen.<\/p>\n<p>Folgende <a href=\"https:\/\/africanstudieslibrary.org\/en\/licenses\/\">lizensierte Datenbanken<\/a> sind \u00fcber das Portal oder \u00fcber <a href=\"https:\/\/dbis.ur.de\/UBERF\/?\">DBIS<\/a> zug\u00e4nglich, teilweise mit kostenfreier pers\u00f6nlicher Registrierung:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>African Books Collective<\/li>\n<li>African Writers Series<\/li>\n<li>Apartheid: Global Perspectives, 1946-1996<\/li>\n<li>Corpus de la premi\u00e8re litt\u00e9rature francophone de l\u2019Afrique noire<\/li>\n<li>Sabinet: ein Paket wissenschaftlicher Zeitschriften des s\u00fcdafrikanischen Anbieters Sabinet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8145\" src=\"https:\/\/www2.uni-erfurt.de\/bibliothek\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Screenshot-2026-03-17-091321.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"605\" height=\"87\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/africanstudieslibrary.org\/en\/\">African Studies Library<\/a> is a project aiming at interdisciplinary African Studies in the field of humanities and social sciences. It is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and hostet at the Goethe University Library in Frankfurt\/Main. Since February 2026 the portal presents itself with a new user interface.<\/p>\n<p>Notable is a central <a href=\"https:\/\/africanstudieslibrary.org\/en\/discovery\/catalogue\/\">research portal Discovery<\/a> for an integrated catalog search in national and international library holdings.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, there is a <a href=\"https:\/\/africanstudieslibrary.org\/en\/toolbox\/\">blog<\/a>, a <a href=\"https:\/\/africanstudieslibrary.org\/en\/newsletter\/\">newsletter<\/a>, and the possibility for <a href=\"https:\/\/africanstudieslibrary.org\/en\/discovery\/researchers\/\">researchers<\/a> to network with the international community.<\/p>\n<p>The following <a href=\"https:\/\/africanstudieslibrary.org\/en\/licenses\/\">licensed databases<\/a> are accessible through the portal or via <a href=\"https:\/\/dbis.ur.de\/UBERF\/?\">DBIS.<\/a> In some cases a free personal registration is required:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>African Books Collective<\/li>\n<li>African Writers Series<\/li>\n<li>Apartheid: Global Perspectives, 1946-1996<\/li>\n<li>Corpus de la premi\u00e8re litt\u00e9rature francophone de l\u2019Afrique noir<\/li>\n<li>Sabinet: a package of scientific journals from the South African provider Sabinet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Sabine Ziebarth<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Die African Studies Library ist das Fachportal f\u00fcr interdisziplin\u00e4re Afrikastudien aus dem Bereich der Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften.
