It describes the layout of a temporary camp and enumerates the various military units in a large campaigning army commanded by the Roman emperor. Major difficulties in the text, which is preserved in a single manuscript of the sixth century, have resulted in two different Teubner editions (1879 and 1977), as well as rival German (1887), French (1979), and Italian (2012) editions.<br id="yiv4971255683yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1533982602185_2828"><br id="yiv4971255683yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1533982602185_2829"> Now for the first time, an English-language edition has been published by Bocca della Verità Publishing, in conjunction with Amazon Direct Publishing.
